General Overview
A strong-willed, woman, with a hot temper, that, sometimes gets her in trouble. Despite her 'short fuse', she still manages to get along with most people. She still occasionally struggles with the loss of her father, killed when the ship her was serving on was attacked by an unknown race of marauders. She will not settle for less than her best in whatever task she takes on. Yodina stays focused on whatever task at hand, taking care to complete it, no matter how long it may take.
Strengths & Weaknesses
Strengths: Loves to learn and explore new possibilities too, as well as other languages, Earth or otherwise. Weaknesses: her lack of diplomatic skills has gotten her into some fights and she is not exactly known as a peacekeeper. Yodina can be rather arrogant and overbearing.
Ambitions
To be the best Starfleet Medical Officer and one day be an Admiral.

Yodina was born, to Trellan and Selera Alo, on Starbase 38. Her mother was the chief counselor on Starbase 38, while her father served as Chief Science Officer on the ill-fated, classified exploration vessel. Yodina's childhood was spent attending school on Starbase 38. She has seven sisters and five brothers, all serving as officers in Starfleet. Yodina spent her entire life aboard Starbase 38, experiencing the uniqueness of living on such a facility. This has enabled her to be quite knowledgeable of the make up of numerous species, thus fostering a keen interest in medicine. She was very studious, often eschewing normal childhood playtime for research and reading.

As she grew into adolescence, her desire to become a doctor intensified, so she specialized her studies accordingly. Even though her inherent temper often got the best of her, she still perservered, which enabled Ms Alo to persue full medical studies, going through Starfleet Medical classes at the Academy.

Yodina's years with Starfleet Academy were spent fully participating, excelling in all areas of study and athletics. She was cautious, at first, but that quickly dissipated as her personality traits surfaced. After graduating, Yodina applied for, and was accepted to the Starfleet Medical School, graduating with honors. Following her graduation, she served aboard the USS Atlantis, as an Assistant Medical Officer.

 

Upon Graduating Starfleet Medical School, Yodina was assigned to the USS. Polaris, an Akira class starship, where she fared remarkably well, despite her propensity for losing her temper at times. Alo served aboard the Polaris for nine months, before being tranferred to a Nova class vessel, the USS Michigan.

While aboard the Michigan, Yodina constantly butted heads with the CMO, Lt. Commander Rhonda Gibbs, both being headstrong women. The Michigan's Captain, decided it was best that Yodina be transferred, rather than Dr. Gibbs walk out. That, of course, didn't set well with Yodina at all. She felt as though the Captain pandered to the CMO too much.

After leaving the Michigan, Dr. Alo returned to Starbase 38 and worked there, until she received orders to report to Starbase Gibraltar, in the Etros Sector. Alo thought this was a form of punishment, for her nearly driving off the CMO of SB38!
